I'm Lisa, the owner and dyer behind Becoming Art. I've used creativity as a form of expression since childhood. Knitting and dyeing are two skills that I fell into when I was a pre-teen, and I am happy that they have joined together and become such an enjoyable full time job. Being in the dyeing business for almost 5 years has enriched my life and I hope that my work can be an encouragement to further others' creative outlets.
I am blessed with a husband and best friend of over 10 years, and at our tiny house in the city we run a home filled with the hectic joy of 3 playful boys ages 8, 6 and 4. Our 2 excitable boxers add their own clown-like dynamic, and our 3 (very quiet) Goldfish help to wind things down at night.
I live in the Pacific Northwest where I enjoy watching the seasons make their striking changes 4 times a year. The only thing I am missing is a view of the ocean and the peace it brings. We spend our non-working hours enjoying the outdoors and giving thanks for life's discoveries and treasures, big and small.
